Jörg Graupeter graduated 2006 from the HTWG Konstanz as mechanical engineer. In his thesis he examined
the frictional behavior of different materials on snow at the Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research in Davos (CH).
Afterwards he worked there until March 2008 as a design engineer where he was responsible for the design and
implementation of experimental setups for the verification of snow structures. Furthermore he worked on industrial
projects in co-operation with winter sports companies and accomplished finite element simulations for the determination
of strength parameters. In April 2008 he joined WINDnovation, where he is working on the structural design of rotor blades.
